Jonathan Davis and Carlson scored eight points each in the first half while Potter collected seven points and six boards. The Badgers closed the half on a 23-6 run.

The Panthers started the game 3-for-12 from the field, struggling to get good looks and get inside against the Badgers, who blocked four shots in the first 8:29.

Wallace tallied four points in the first half to become the 41st player in Eastern Illinois history to surpass 1,000 points for his career.

Panthers senior guard Mack Smith went 1-for-9 from beyond the arc, as his streak of games with at least one make from 3-point range was extended to 82 games.
