Tennessee at Oakland
When: 4:25 PM ET, Sunday, December 8, 2019
Where: RingCentral Coliseum, Oakland, California

The Tennessee Titans are a different team with Ryan Tannehill at the controls as they visit the desperate Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Tennessee has won five of six games since Tannehill replaced an ineffective Marcus Mariota as the starter, including a 31-17 victory at Indianapolis last week that kept the Titans within striking distance of the AFC South title or a wild-card spot.

"I know being on the sidelines for the first few weeks of the season, I cherish the opportunity of being out there," Tannehill told reporters. "You never know what's going to happen in this league, so I enjoy it every step of the way." Tennessee running back Derrick Henry has picked up his game with Tannehill under center, rushing for 724 yards and seven touchdowns in the last six games after recording 416 yards and six scores in six contests with Mariota calling the signals. Tennessee is one game behind first-place Houston in the AFC South with two meetings left against the Texans, including one in Nashville next week, and in a virtual tie with Pittsburgh for the final wild-card berth. The Raiders have been outscored 74-12 in consecutive road losses to the New York Jets and Kansas City, and must win their penultimate game in Oakland to keep their playoff hopes alive.

ABOUT THE TITANS (7-5): Tannehill (12 touchdowns, four interceptions this season) has completed 74.6 percent of his 59 passes with six TDs in his last three games with the club averaging 36 points during that span. Henry, whose 496 yards and five rushing scores since Week 10 lead the NFL, can become the fifth player in league history to total 150 yards from scrimmage with a touchdown in four consecutive contests. Rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown (34 catches) boasts team highs in yards (626) and receiving TDs (four) while linebacker Harold Landry III has recorded one sack in each of the last five games and leads the club with nine.

ABOUT THE RAIDERS (6-6): Running back Josh Jacobs, who became the first rookie in franchise history to rush for 1,000 yards with 104 against Kansas City last week, revealed that he has been playing with a fractured shoulder. "... He hurt his shoulder in the Green Bay game,'' coach Jon Gruden told reporters. "So, we've tried to be smart with him. But what a great competitor he is. He's going to be one of the best complete backs in all of football, I believe." Defensive end Maxx Crosby leads all rookies with three forced fumbles and has five sacks in his last three games, giving him 7.5 this season - third-most among first-year players.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Tennessee on Tuesday signed veteran CB Tramaine Brock, who was waived by Arizona on Sunday, to add depth to an injury plagued secondary that has contributed to the sixth-worst pass defense in the league at 260.1 yards allowed per game.

2. Henry became the fifth player in NFL history to rush for at least 145 yards and a touchdown in three straight contests with 149 and a score last week.

3. Oakland has won three straight meetings - all on the road from 2015-17. The series is tied 7-7 since the Houston Oilers relocated to Tennessee.
